Pegasus Explorer becomes UN Ambassador for the day
3rd August 2011
Angus Lauder of Pegasus Explorer Scout Unit became the UK Ambassador to the United Nations today as he and guide Sara Pete represented the whole UK Contingent at the UN Simulation consisting of over 300 Scouts from over 160 countries as part of the Jamboree held in the parliament at Kristianstad. The debates were about Climate Change and both Angus and Sara got their resolutions adopted by the group. Their proposals will now be taken to the next full meeting of the United Nations for discussion.
Angus commented that he appreciated that "One persons voice can make a global difference if it's loud enough"
